Precision Brain Advanced Imaging Review

Go beyond the standard brain MRI report.

A brain MRI can contain more information than is captured in a standard radiology report.

The Precision Brain Advanced Imaging Review is a one-time educational service that brings together advanced quantitative imaging analysis and multidisciplinary expertise to help you better understand your brain imaging and what the findings may mean in the broader context of your brain health.

Offered through the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation, the program combines specialized preparation and imaging analysis with a 60-minute multidisciplinary review session focused on your results and questions.

A Deeper Look at Your Brain Imaging

Depending on the imaging available and its technical quality, your review may include:

  • Review of your brain MRI and existing clinical radiology report

  • Review of Neuroreader quantitative volumetric results, when available

  • Additional analysis of brain volumes and patterns of atrophy

  • Cerebral blood flow and perfusion analysis using arterial spin labeling (ASL) imaging, when available

  • Review of structural and vascular findings relevant to brain health

  • Selected advanced computational or AI-based research analyses, when appropriate

  • Integration of these findings with other brain-health information you provide

These additional analyses are designed to provide another layer of information—not to replace the official clinical interpretation of your MRI.

Multidisciplinary Expert Review

After the imaging has been processed and reviewed, you will participate in a 60-minute virtual meeting with members of the multidisciplinary Precision Brain team.

The session brings together expertise in areas such as neuroradiology, cognitive and brain health, dementia and neurodegenerative disease, and precision approaches to brain health.

Rather than looking at an isolated number or image, the team helps you understand how the different findings fit together, which findings may be most meaningful, and what questions they may raise for your broader brain-health strategy.

What You Receive

The service includes:

  • Advanced preparation and analysis of the imaging provided

  • Multidisciplinary expert review of the findings

  • A 60-minute virtual imaging review session

  • A PDF containing the advanced imaging analyses presented during your session

  • An AI-generated summary of the discussion, available upon request

A separate physician-authored written medical report is not included.

What the Review May Help You Understand

The review may help clarify questions such as:

  • Are particular brain regions showing lower or higher volumes than expected?

  • Are there patterns of atrophy that deserve further consideration?

  • What does the imaging suggest about cerebral blood flow and perfusion?

  • Are there structural or vascular findings that may be relevant to brain health?

  • How do different imaging findings relate to one another?

  • How might the imaging fit with cognitive testing, laboratory results, symptoms, or other information you already have?

  • What questions or possible next steps would be useful to discuss with your treating clinicians?

The goal is not simply to generate more data. It is to help you make better sense of the information already contained in your brain imaging.

Program Fee

$1,750 | Advanced Imaging Analysis + 60-Minute Multidisciplinary Review

The program fee covers the specialized educational imaging analysis, preparation, and multidisciplinary review provided through the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation.

Philanthropic support helps the Foundation make this specialized educational service available at a program fee of $1,750.

The cost of obtaining your MRI, the official clinical radiology interpretation, Neuroreader processing, and other outside clinical or imaging services is separate and is not included in the program fee.

Who This May Be Appropriate For

The Advanced Brain Imaging Review may be useful for individuals and families who:

  • Already have, or are arranging, appropriate brain MRI imaging

  • Want to understand their imaging in greater depth

  • Have questions about cognitive change, brain aging, or dementia risk

  • Want additional perspective on quantitative volumetric or cerebral blood-flow findings

  • Are trying to integrate imaging with other information about their brain health

  • Would value a multidisciplinary discussion rather than reviewing each imaging result in isolation

Important distinction

The Precision Brain Advanced Imaging Review is an educational service provided through the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation. It is separate from clinical care through the Pacific Brain Health Center and does not replace evaluation by your treating physicians or the official clinical interpretation of your imaging.

Some advanced computational, AI-derived, or research-based analyses used during the review are educational or investigational tools and are not intended to independently diagnose Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, or another neurological condition.

Participation does not establish a treating physician relationship and does not include medical diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, or ordering of tests. Clinical appointments and medical care remain separate.
